Thinking back on what you have learned this week about looking for groceries and buying groceries in Chinese, what were some things that you learned from your supermarket trip? What did you think about the grocery list game that you played?

The spread at the market was very good, alot of foods there wouldn’t normally be seen in a regular supermarket. The prices were also very cheap compared to normal prices. The grocery list game was fun, it allowed us to see the wide variety of asian foods. Iain even found little baby crabs that you can eat shell and all (THEY TASTED AWESOME).

July 17, 2009 @ 12:24 pmEric and Kyle were in the same group. They thought it was really easy and found out the list pretty fast. Josh thought it was fun and that it was cool that we could use chinese in a supermarket. We all learned how to say watermelon in chinese.

July 17, 2009 @ 12:24 pmAt the Asian supermarket we had to search for different kinds of food. We had to read the card in Chinese to figure out what kinds of food we had to collect and write down the prices and pronounce the chinese pinyin correctly. It was a very fun experience.

July 24, 2009 @ 12:55 pmThe the asian supermarket was great! Except for the fact it was hard to tell what was chinese, korean or egyptain! But it was fun though. But when we got there,it smelled and there was gum on the floor. So,when you come back, watch your step!
